ABA FSLC Spring Conference Recap: Photos & Highlights from Sedona

Beacon Vice President John Yeung and Project Manager Myat Cyn recently attended the ABA Fidelity & Surety Law Committee’s 2026 Spring Surety Conference in Sedona, Arizona (May 13-15, 2026).

Held at the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock, the conference brought together surety professionals, attorneys, consultants, claims professionals, underwriters, and industry partners for two days of educational programming, panel discussions, and networking. This year’s program focused on timely issues in the surety industry, including claim handling, construction risk, indemnity issues, bond forms, artificial intelligence, alternative dispute resolution, co-surety relationships, and emerging trends affecting complex construction projects.

The setting could not have been more memorable. With Sedona’s red rock formations, sweeping vistas, and iconic canyon views as the backdrop, the conference provided an ideal environment for learning, professional development, and reconnecting with industry colleagues.

As part of the week’s activities, Beacon co-hosted a dinner on May 13 with CSG Law (Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC) at Javelina Cantina, a popular Sedona restaurant known for its warm atmosphere and beautiful views of the surrounding red rock landscape. The conference also included an outdoor networking reception and dinner at the Hilton Sedona Resort, where attendees enjoyed the opportunity to connect with friends, clients, and industry partners in a stunning desert setting.

This year’s conference was also especially meaningful for Myat Cyn, who attended as a member of the ABA FSLC Emerging Leaders Class of 2025-2026. As part of the Emerging Leaders program, Myat participated in professional development activities and joined fellow Emerging Leaders for a volunteer cleanup event along the Oak Creek Trail area.

Overall, the 2026 FSLC Spring Surety Conference was another valuable opportunity for Beacon’s team to stay current on important surety industry issues, strengthen professional relationships, and engage with clients, colleagues, and partners from across the country.
