San Diego High-Rise Building - Construction Defect Assessment
This project entailed a construction defects assessment related to a 33-story mixed-use high-rise building in San Diego, California.
This 33-story building in Southern California includes commercial spaces and residential units. There was evidence of water intrusion and water damage at the building's doors and windows. Beacon was retained to prepare a coverage report to identify the window manufacturer's potential liability for over $70M in alleged repair costs. Beacon identified which repair items were resultant damages, who was potentially responsible for those damages, and the total costs that could be attributed to the window manufacturer.
