Upon the contractor default of the $8 Million General Construction contract, the surety company retained Beacon Consulting Group, Inc. to provide Construction Consulting services related to the takeover and completion of the project.
The project included asbestos abatement and demolition of the existing school building and construction of a new 2-story elementary school. The new 45,000-square-foot elementary school housed 24 classrooms, gymnasium, theatre, music center, and library. Also upgraded were the school's playground, as well as mechanical and electrical systems.
Beacon provided all of the following services:
