Beacon Corporate Meeting Highlights & Photos
Beacon Consulting Group’s Annual Corporate Meeting and Holiday Party was held December 11–13, 2025, in Savannah, GA, at the Andaz Hotel. Please scroll down to view photos from this year’s gathering.
Our annual meeting provides a valuable opportunity for Beacon team members to come together from around the country. In addition to reviewing highlights of our operations and lessons learned over the past year, we exchanged new ideas, developed plans to further enhance our service offerings in the year ahead, and enjoyed several fun team-building activities.
We were especially grateful to the industry professionals who participated in this year’s panel discussion, which focused on how sureties address “Program Defaults” (i.e., situations in which a principal defaults on multiple bonded construction projects). While the size and nature of program defaults can vary greatly, the panel explored key strategies used to address these complex matters. These strategies and processes were organized under three primary categories: Investigation, Mitigation, and Indemnity Protection.
Panel members included:
- Tracey Haley, VP & Senior Director of Surety Claims, Markel Insurance Group
- Greg Daily, VP & Head of Bond Claims, The Hartford
- Jim Hamel, Assistant Vice President, Zurich American Insurance
- Dennis O'Neill, President, Beacon Consulting Group, Inc.
Another highlight of this year’s meeting was a memorable and moving presentation by our good friend Todd Braggins, who appeared in full costume as “Father Time.” Todd’s industry expertise, creativity, and sense of humor are well known throughout the surety claims and construction law communities.
Todd recently retired as Managing Partner of the law firm Ernstrom & Dreste LLP. Over the years, he has been a valued collaborator on many surety claims projects and an outstanding partner and friend to Beacon Consulting Group. At this year’s meeting, he delivered an inspirational talk to our team, sharing lessons from his remarkable career along with thoughtful reflections on life, friendship, and family. Todd will be greatly missed.
In addition to our corporate meeting, which took place on Friday, December 12, our team enjoyed exploring Savannah together after arriving on Thursday afternoon, December 11. Savannah is truly a beautiful setting for a corporate gathering, especially when decorated with festive holiday lights, as it was in early December.
