On July 1st, Dennis O'Neill will be bicycling around the Ring of Kerry in Ireland along with his daughter Jackie O'Neill, his brother John, and a group of 30 clients, other family members, and friends in order to raise money for a local organization CRITICAL EMR (Emergency Medical Response). The Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle is an iconic cycling event now in its 41st year. The ride takes place along one of the world’s most renowned touring routes -- The Ring of Kerry, an incredibly scenic 105-mile (170 km) coastal road in County Kerry (Southwest Ireland). Beacon's Boston area office is in Medford, a city located less than 5 miles northwest of downtown Boston. Medford's population is now over 59,000 people and it's home to many thriving businesses, as well as Tufts University. Medford was on the route of Paul Revere's famous midnight ride, which is celebrated with a reenactment every year. In early June, Beacon Consulting Group joined with other members of the Philadelphia Surety Claims Association (PSCA) to contribute $10,000 to Philabundance, a charity committed to fighting hunger in the greater Philadelphia area. The PSCA donation will help to provide 20,000 meals to those in need in the Philadelphia area. Founded in 1984, Philabundance is a proud member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks leading the fight against hunger in the United States.
John Gallagher is a Construction Consultant / Project Engineer working out of Beacon's NYC office. In his free time, John is one of the coaches assisting with The Phoenix Special Olympics Club based in Oceanport, NJ. The team trains at Shore Regional High School. John's 16-year-old daughter Anna is one of the athletes on the Phoenix team. John and his wife Tara adopted Anna from Russia when she was 11 months old. John and Anna joined the Phoenix club in 2010 when Anna was seven years old, after the family moved to NJ from Ireland...
Beacon's founder Dennis O'Neill has been involved in many 5K and 10K fun runs for charity over the years. Over this past winter, Dennis ran in the Boston Jolly Jaunt in order to raise funds for Special Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA). The 5K race/fundraiser, whose main sponsor is the New Balance Foundation, included a 5K race route through Boston's Back Bay neighborhood.
