Dennis O'Neill Completes 2014 Boston Marathon

April 2014

Like many runners in this year's Boston marathon, Beacon Consulting Group's President and founder, Dennis O'Neill, paid tribute to the victims and survivors of the tragic bombings that impacted the 2013 marathon. Dennis said he felt a special exhilaration in crossing the finish line this year. While last year's marathon was the scene of terrible tragedy and senseless violence, this year's race was a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit. Dennis was among more than 36,000 runners who enjoyed beautiful, sunny conditions for the 118th running of the historic race on April 21st. Adding to the excitement and positive energy surrounding the event this year, Meb Keflezighi became the first American man to win The Boston Marathon in more than three decades. To honor the memories of the 4 victims killed during the 2013 bombings, Meb ran with their names written on his race bib. Rita Jeptoo of Kenya won the woman's title for the third time and also set a course record.
