Dennis O'Neill Presents to Young Professionals at Travelers Bond School, Provides High-Level View Covering Construction Project Management, Project Roles, and Work Phases

Beacon's President Dennis O'Neill has presented at many industry events over the years. Most recently, Dennis was invited to speak to a group of young professionals at Travelers in Hartford, CT, helping to cover a broad range of issues related to managing construction projects. The presentation was part of the staff's broader training and exposure to issues and risks associated with construction projects.

Areas covered during the presentation included:

  • High-level view of phases of a construction project
  • Roles played by various parties in a construction project
    (e.g. Owners, A/E, GC, Subcontractors, Consultants, Site Personnel, etc)
  • Construction project terms and acronyms
  • Some of the areas of risk associated with managing construction projects
  • Various types of contracts and management structures associated with projects
