Beacon News

President's Message, May 2025

I hope you had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend! As we head into the summer season, Beacon’s team is actively engaged in interesting assignments across the U.S.

This month’s edition of Beacon’s E-News features valuable insights from our staff. John Richmond and Marcus Lehner outline the critical steps to take when asbestos-containing materials are discovered during renovation or demolition—an issue that can significantly affect project timelines and regulatory compliance. We also feature a practical guide by John Yeung, who shares 50+ essential construction industry terms—an excellent resource for brushing up on technical language.

Our featured case history highlights Beacon’s work with a leading surety, assisting in the evaluation of more than 160 payment bond claims across 20 different projects. It’s a strong example of the depth and scale of support we provide in complex, multi-project scenarios.

I hope to see many of you at an upcoming industry event—especially the Surety Claims Institute (SCI) 50th Annual Meeting, taking place June 25–27 in Manchester, VT. More details are available on our website’s Events Calendar.

As always, if you need support with any construction consulting assignments, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Dennis O'Neill, President
