Beacon Providing Construction Consulting Services on Cincinnati School Project

Beacon Consulting Group was selected by a leading Surety company to provide construction consulting services related to the construction of a new high school and elementary school in Cincinnati, Ohio. The new 144,000-sf school is being built on a 6.6-acre site which is currently shared by St. Bernard-Elmwood Place High School and St. Bernard Elementary School. Upon completion, it will bring a consolidated state of the art school to the district. The project is valued at $34 million.

The new building is designed to meet or exceed LEED silver certification, which stands for “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design." LEED-certified projects meet specific standards related to sustainable design, construction, and operation. The new school will also feature an indoor swimming pool and a large gymnasium.

Construction is more than 60% completed as of early 2022. Beacon was retained by the Surety to help facilitate the resolution of issues during the construction completion process and to assist in expediting the schedule. The project schedule targets completion before the start of the next school year.
