Welcome to Ryan Ross, Project Engineer & Newest Member of Beacon's NYC Team

Among the new faces at Beacon Consulting Group in recent months is Ryan Ross, Project Engineer and Surety Consultant. Since relocating to New York City in the past year, Ryan has already become a valuable member of Beacon's NYC project team.

Ryan is a talented, dedicated, detail-oriented professional whose prior experience includes working as Field Engineer in the Washington D.C. area for Turner Construction Company. While working in the D.C. area, Ryan focused on Healthcare facility expansions and other construction projects. Ryan originally hails from Virginia Beach, VA, and is a graduate of the University of Virginia (UVA) at Charlottesville, where he received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Civil and Environmental Engineering.

At Beacon Consulting Group, Ryan is working on a broad range of construction consulting assignments, serving our client in all of the following roles:

  • Contractor Claim Analysis
  • Change Order Negotiations
  • Construction Cost Analysis
  • Construction Management
  • Construction Defects Analysis
  • Assisting in the preparation of bid packages
  • Communicating with the subcontractors/vendors on a daily basis
  • Reviewing construction-project-related documents
  • Assisting Project Managers with cost to complete analyses
  • Preparing and reviewing payment requisitions, change orders & other project documents
  • Preparing and analyzing project schedules, construction and payment bond claims

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering (University of Virginia)
  • OSHA-30 certified
  • Project Scheduling using BIM 360 plan
  • Project Management/Coordination utilizing BIM 360 field

HOBBIES & INTERESTS:

Growing up in Virginia, Ryan was a competitive high school athlete, playing Varsity Football and Lacrosse at Norfolk Academy. He also played intramural sports (basketball and football) at UVA. Now living in Manhattan, Ryan enjoys exploring the New York City area, learning the Subway system and spending time with his girlfriend who works for a NYC-based art gallery.
