President's Message / Happy St. Patrick's Day from Beacon Consulting Group!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! As the son of Irish immigrants, St. Patrick's Day has special meaning for me. It's as much about the American Dream as it is about Irish Culture & Heritage. My three siblings and I have been especially lucky to have been raised by parents who instilled in us the importance of education, hard work, never giving up, and treating other people with the kindness and respect. Thanks to the sacrifices of our Irish immigrant parents, my siblings and I have truly been able to live the American Dream. Beacon’s team of professionals with backgrounds from Ireland, China, Burma, England, Italy, Germany, Scotland, (to name a few), embrace these values in their work and personal lives each and every day to pursue the best life has to offer.

Beacon President's Message Oct. 2020

Well, the World Series is over (congratulations Dodger fans), Covid-19 is boomeranging, and the Presidential Election is upon us. What a year...it seems to be lasting forever! On the bright side, in the construction industry we are seeing some positive news in recent weeks as some large construction projects continue to make progress and plans for some very large new projects are being announced. Our team has consulted on many critical infrastructure projects over the years, but this is an important one because the aqueduct provides almost half of New York City’s water (more than 8.3 million people count on that aqueduct working right)...

The project, which started in late 2018, involves the rehabilitation of a 74-mile stretch of the aqueduct by cleaning the inside and repairing a number of leaks, replacing numerous valves at chambers connected to the aqueduct, and performing other structural and mechanical upgrades to ensure the proper function of the structure for many years to come...
